FISHING REPORT - July 2025 - Picante Sportfishing
We wrapped up July with plenty of tuna and solid marlin numbers. This month, we were fortunate to release several sailfish as well. As the water started warming up, the blue marlin arrived — we had quite a few on the line, and they were impressive in size! It seems they’re getting ready for tournament season, putting up a strong fight. As for dorado, only a few showed up, but we’re hopeful that August and September will bring a good run for anglers targeting this gamefish.
The best fishing grounds this July in Cabo were: Cortez side, San Jaime, 95 and Golden gate.
The best bait/lure was Mackerel, Ballyhoo, Cocinero, plumas, palitos, cedar plugs and marlin lures.

Picante Expresso the Cabo Express 31’ released 10 Striped marlin, plus one Sailfish, boated 2 Dorado and 14 Yellowfin tuna.
Picante Express, 32’ Cabo Express released 11 Striped marlin and 2 Sailfish, they have a great tuna month boated 41 Yellowfin tuna and 2 more Dorado for the count.
The Cabo Express 35’ Salsa released 5 Striped Marlin, 1 Blue marlin and boated 10 Yellowfin tuna and 4 Dorado.
Picante Dream 35’ Cabo Flybridge, released 10 Striped marlin and one more Sailfish, they landed 65 Tunas!! Sashimi for everyone! And 4 Dorado.
Picante Pride, Cabo Express 36’, released 8 Striped marlin and boated 5 dorado and 45 yellowfin tuna.
Picante Tolly 40’, released 6 Striped marlin and 1 Sailfish also. They boated 25 Yellowfin tuna, and 6 Dorado.
Picante 45, Cabo Express 45’, released 15 Striped marlin and 3 Blue marlin, they catch 34 Yellowfin tuna, and 4 Dorado.
Cabo Express 45’ Caliente 45, released 14 Striped Marlin and fished 28 Yellowfin tuna, they also landed 6 Dorado and one Wahoo.
