FISHING REPORT - February 2026 - Picante Sportfishing

February brought great fishing to Los Cabos. The warmer waters that moved in delivered an excellent bite for dorado and wahoo — always a welcome treat offshore!
Striped marlin numbers increased at the beginning of the month before slowing down slightly, but our charters still had the opportunity to encounter two or three acrobatic marlin per trip, making for exciting and memorable fishing days on the water.
Looking ahead to March, we expect steady Marlin action along with good opportunities for yellowtail, grouper, and snapper. If you’re planning to visit during Spring Break, don’t forget to book your fishing charter in advance. Plus, whale watching season is still in full swing, an added bonus that never fails to impress our guests.
The best bait/lure was Caballito, Mackerel, Ballyhoo, plumas, palitos for Tuna, and marlin lures.
Enjoy the pictures!
