Fishing Report April 2026 – Picante Sportfishing, Cabo San Lucas

FISHING REPORT - April 2026 - Picante Sportfishing

Striped marlin releases increased during April, with fish averaging between 120–130 lbs.
PICANTE FLEET FISHING REPORT

April brought excellent fishing to Los Cabos, with a great variety of species making for exciting mixed bags. We released the first Sailfish of the season, along with an increase in Striped marlin releases compared to March. Anglers also enjoyed bringing home WahooDorado, and even Yellowfin tuna, which means they’ve had a bit of luck this month.

The warmer water temperatures and seasonal transition are creating ideal conditions for Swordfish and Blue marlin to begin making their first appearances around the Cabo area.

Looking ahead to May, we expect the great fishing to continue for both catch-and-release marlin enthusiasts and those looking to enjoy fresh fish for the table. Contact us for availability and any questions, we’d love to get you on the water!

The best fishing spots this April in Cabo were: Herradura, 11:50 and 95 spot.

The best bait/lure was Caballito, Mackerel, Ballyhoo, plumas, and marlin lures.

Enjoy the pictures!
